Could your company's records help train or test AI?

Could your software history, support records or specialist knowledge be useful to an AI developer? Describe what your business holds in about eight minutes. We'll review its suitability, flag questions to resolve and explore whether there is a relevant buyer requirement. Nothing is shared without your written approval.

Free. No files. No obligation.

What AI developers look for

Records that show what happened, why, and what came of it.

A useful starting point:

software history with issues and reviews; support tickets with resolutions; operational runbooks.

Worth checking:

fault and fix records, design changes with reasons, quality incidents with root causes. Buyer demand for these is still unproven.

Usually not suitable:

generic policies, templates or public material; drawings, code or records that belong to customers; sensitive personal details; defence or export-controlled material.

Demand changes. We'll tell you what buyers are asking for now, where we know.

How it works

  1. Describe it.

A short form about the records, not the records themselves.

  2. We review it.

A person reads every submission and replies within three working days.

  3. You approve each introduction.

You see exactly what a named partner will receive, and decide.

  4. You decide on any offer.

You sign directly with the buyer, with your own legal advice.

What stays in your control

  • No files at this stage.
  • Nothing goes to anyone without your written approval, partner by partner.
  • You can stop future sharing at any time.
  • We don't buy, hold or resell data.
  • Licence terms are between you and the buyer.

How we're paid

The assessment is free. If you license data through a partner we introduced, that partner pays us a referral fee. We confirm the partner, how the fee is worked out and who pays it, in writing, before any introduction. Some programmes ask you to apply through our referral link; we'll tell you when. An optional paid readiness session (a structured checklist; we see no data and give no legal advice) is quoted in writing first.

Who we are

Fairlode is a service of Blue Canvas, an AI consultancy in Derry working with businesses across Ireland and the UK. Phil Patterson reviews every submission.

Questions

Is my data worth anything?

Often not, and we'll say so. It depends on what buyers want now, whether your records show outcomes, how much you have and whether you clearly own it.

Training or evaluation, what's the difference?

Training data teaches a model; evaluation data tests it. Evaluation sets are often smaller and can sometimes be built without handing over raw records. You choose which you'll consider.

Is removing names enough?

Not always. Ticket text, review comments and writing style can still identify people. We'll flag this early; the decision and the lawful basis are yours.

Who are your partners?

We name partners once agreements are signed, and always before any introduction.

Can I change my mind?

You can stop the Fairlode introduction process. Once you agree a licence, its terms govern withdrawal and any continued use. Do not assume that ending a licence reverses training already carried out.

How long does it take?

Review in three working days. A deal, if one happens, can take months.

Where do you work?

Northern Ireland and Great Britain now; the Republic of Ireland once our legal advice is in.
